Class will cover topics relating to enlarging your paintings. We will start with critiques on your reference materials such as drawings, sketches, colors-notes, plein-air studies, and photographs. Composition will be heavily stressed as we learn how to move to a bigger canvas. We will also spend some time learning basic elements of Photoshop as a means of helping understand the entire enlargement and painting process. Slide shows and analysis on various topics will be given throughout the workshop, as well as individual critiques throughout each day. Critiques will take place at the end of the first 2 days of the workshop. Students are asked to bring reference materials they may wish to paint on a larger scale. Students are also welcome to bring in 1-2 paintings they would like to be critiqued.
